SFSU Dean rocks students this summer

A summer experience with the U.S. Geological Survey sent Dr. Lisa White on the path to becoming professor of geosciences and associate dean of engineering and science at San Francisco State.  So she’s taking more students to the park this summer.

White founded SF Rocks in 2001 to give minority students exposure to geology. She’s now working with three other universities on a new program called METALS-Minority Education Through Traveling and Learning in the Sciences.
